CCR: Interview

 Interview:

     To create my Creative Critical Reflection (CCR), another approach I would use would be having an interview. I could have someone such as a videographer interview me and ask me questions pertaining to my portfolio and my opening sequence. The questions would be pre-written down so the interviewer already knows exactly what to ask me. This would also require a setting with a quiet background and good lighting. A decent quality microphone would be needed to capture my responses. This would be less conversating with my interviewer and majority of me talking about my opening sequence. This would be much shorter compared to my podcast, and would require less editing in post production. Faint background music could be added to lighten the mood, but enough where you can still clearly hear my responses. The camera would be framed mainly on me, since I would be the one doing most of the talking.

Semester 1 Reflection

Semester 1 Reflection Reflecting on my progress in the Media Studies course, I feel as though my relationship with media has changed  drastically. Prior to taking this course, I did not thi nk much about what really goes into making and producing a film. I would just watch a movie  almost mindlessly , and my b rain would be tricked into the idea that everything just  almost magically  falls into place. However, after learning and working  through  units on aspects such as cinematography, mise  en  scene, editing, sound, and much more,  my eyes and understanding have begun to open on the reality of media.    I did not realize how much the little components can make  a big difference  in a film.  Small things  such as costume, composition, and even  different types  of  shots can all help to create and convey all kinds of meaning.
