Cast/Crew:

-Halle White: main character/protagonist, director, editor, cinematographer

-Nichole White (mom): news caster, main videographer, secondary director

-Albert White (dad): antagonist

Production Schedule:

-Location: All shots filmed inside my home. Specifically in front of the front door, in the main hallway, and entering a bedroom.

-Feb 18-20: Filming and capturing all necessary takes

-Feb 21-23: Cutting, editing, and placing shots in their correct order

-Feb 24-27: Adding sound, special effects, music, and finishing touches

Semester 1 Reflection

Semester 1 Reflection Reflecting on my progress in the Media Studies course, I feel as though my relationship with media has changed  drastically. Prior to taking this course, I did not thi nk much about what really goes into making and producing a film. I would just watch a movie  almost mindlessly , and my b rain would be tricked into the idea that everything just  almost magically  falls into place. However, after learning and working  through  units on aspects such as cinematography, mise  en  scene, editing, sound, and much more,  my eyes and understanding have begun to open on the reality of media.    I did not realize how much the little components can make  a big difference  in a film.  Small things  such as costume, composition, and even  different types  of  shots can all help to create and convey all kinds of meaning.
